North Coast Beginning Teacher Program

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OVERVIEW

The North Coast Beginning Teacher Program offers a variety of professional development on a regular and ongoing basis.  Sometimes these workshops are available only to program participants and sometimes they are open to all teachers.  The schedule varies so please check the schedule of professional development offerings, to the left, to determine current offerings and availability.

English Learner Collaborative (ELC)

The English learner Collaborative trains teachers and administrators using research-based strategies that are proven to increase EL student achievement.

The Essentials of an ELD Program

Explore what is expected for EL Students by grade level and proficiency; See demonstrated lessons; Develop ELD lessons for your students; Deepen use of a variety of instructional strategies that promote language development.

The Power of Evidence

Finding evidence of learning in Reading Language Arts, Math & ELD: in classrooms; from students; across schools. The purpose of this two day series is to begin to answer the question: "What evidence verifies powerful teaching & learning?"
