North Coast Beginning Teacher Program

INVISIBLE CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT

This fast-paced, interactive course is designed to build on the tools and strategies for creating positive classroom environments that new teachers learned in the course “Starting Out Right”. The course will draw from key aspects of the Fred Jones “Tools for Teaching” system and Michael Grinder’s “ENVoY training” which helps teachers learn to utilize a full range of non-verbal management skills.  Attending teachers will reflect on lessons learned from their own classrooms, the induction program, and the information presented. Participants will enhance their ability to build a classroom environment based on trust, consistency, and fairness. Attendees will re-work their management protocols to reduce the stress of teaching and prevent most management headaches.
