CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT

ENVoY

This training addresses the unspoken aspects of classroom communications that enable the teacher to win class attention, gain appropriate student behavior, cover more curriculum, make effective transitions, enhance classroom productivity and discipline with comfort. Teachers who build a repertoire of these techniques find they have much better rapport with their students, including those considered hard to reach. By using ENVoY, teachers find they are more positive and effective in managing their classrooms, and still have energy at the end of the day. The class features hands-on application and practice.

Invisible Classroom Management

This fast-paced, interactive course is designed to build on the tools and strategies for creating positive classroom environments that new teachers learned in the course “Starting Out Right”. The course will draw on key aspects of the Fred Jones “Tools for Teaching” system and Michael Grinder’s “ENVoY training” which helps teachers learn to utilize a full range of non-verbal management skills.  Attending teachers will reflect on lessons learned from their own classrooms, the BTSA program and the information presented. Participants will enhance their ability to build a classroom environment based on trust, consistency and fairness. Attendees will re-work their management protocols to reduce the stress of teaching and prevent most management headaches.

Starting Out Right

There are many strategies that, if put in place early in the school year, lead to successful classrooms. This workshop will provide ideas and strategies for setting up the classroom, getting started, identifying rules and procedures, the first day of school tips, and other helpful hints that will help make the start-up of the school year smooth. Each teacher will be provided materials and the book, The First Day of School, written by Harry Wong.

The Starting Out Right course is now availabe as a complete online course. University credit is available for the completion of this online course.
