North Coast Beginning Teacher Program

ADVANCED PEER COACHING

This workshop provides coaching training for North Coast Beginning Teacher Program support providers, as well as district mentors, administrators, curriculum coaches, university supervisors, and peer coaches. During this session, participants will:

• Consider the implications of current brain research on interactions with colleagues and students

• Practice research-based strategies to deepen and extend learning-focused conversations

• Consider the implications of non-verbal “cues” on learning and growth

• Use Observational Scripting Techniques

• Practice guiding Reflective Conversations

This is a required training for all NCBTP support providers and is designed to be taken in sequence, usually in the second year of the program, after PEER COACHING.
