Human Resource Staff are often the first person assigned to work with new teachers. Your support is critical in identifying eligible new teachers and matching them to the proper credential and support program.
The inclusion of information about the North Coast Beginning Teacher Program as part of your hiring procedures and new hire paperwork is an important step to ensure that all new teachers receive the support necessary to begin their careers on the right foot! Thank you in advance for all you do to support the smooth transition of new teachers!
Human Resource staff work closely with District Coordinators to determine the credentialing and program support needs of new teachers. The following tools support Human Resource staff as the work with new teachers:

Credential Intake Form & Categories of Teachers: Helps you evaluate the credential of each new hire, and guides the placement of teachers in the appropriate Support/Credential program. Please make a copy of the Credential Intake Form for your District Coordinator’s files.

Information for New Hires: Please give each new teacher the name and contact information of your District Coordinator.

Advisement Forms: All teachers should complete and Advisement Form. Give the Yellow Copy to your District Coordinator and place the original in the new teacher’s personnel file.

Welcome Support Provider Packet: This packet includes a cover letter, a “Moving Beyond Survival” handout, and the Checklist for Site Orientation. Please coordinate with your District Coordinator to ensure that this packet is distributed to each Support Provider before school starts in the fall!
