North Coast Beginning Teacher ProgramBUSINESS MANAGERSBusiness Managers are a key link between the North Coast Beginning Teacher Program and their district, school and county office of education. The North Coast Beginning Teacher Program provides funding to offset the compensation for Support Providers and District Coordinators. Funding directly correlates to the number of beginning teachers (BTSA or Intern) with state consent forms on file in our office. The amount is prorated for mid-year hires or partial Support Provider services as well as special circumstances. A purchase order and district report is sent to the district in the spring. The District Report includes a list of all employees for compensation upon completion of all program duties (usually by the end of May) and will allow you to disperse funds to Support Providers as compensation for their services. We recommend including stipends as “Special pay” on the employee’s regular paycheck to minimize the amount of state/federal taxes being withheld. Invoice/Grant Funds Expenditure Report must be received from the district in order to release the funds. |
